During 1:1 tutoring sessions, I will first assess your child's current level of understanding and create a customized learning plan that addresses their specific needs and goals. It is usually helpful to liaise with the child's teacher to better understand how I can support the learning.

I will then provide direct instruction and explain concepts in a way that is tailored to your child's learning style. I will work through problems and exercises with your child, providing guidance and feedback as needed. Your child will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive immediate feedback, which can help to build their understanding and confidence.

In addition to providing instruction, I will also help your child to develop important study skills and strategies. This may include teaching them how to take notes, how to effectively read and understand text, and how to prepare for exams.

The 1:1 format allows for a more efficient and effective approach to learning, as I can provide additional individualized attention and support that is tailored to your child's unique needs, outside of the classroom.  Please see my Setting Expectations page for some tips for our sessions!

I offer 1:1 tutoring sessions five days a week, online, and I will do my best to fit your child's schedule.  Please remember that regular and consistent work yields the best results.  I can also help you with scheduling, just reach out.

I will track your child's progress throughout their time with me, and provide regular weekly progress reports to keep you informed of what is covered in each session, and suggestions for practice during the following week. 

As a general reference, my fees are the equivalent of USD $35/half hour and $50/hour.
